Depending on where you are located and the time of year, shipping may be an option for you at an additional cost. Please be advised that prices can change at any time.
Currently, additional cost for ground shipping with Puppy Travelers is $350 for a puppy or kitten. Shipping cost for a 2nd pet at the same time is $150. This is only an option for certain destinations and they do not deliver to your house but try to meet you within an hour of it. They contact you the day before delivery to let you know when and where to meet.
Lonewolf delivers to parts of Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana. They do not deliver to your house, but make stops in certain cities where you would meet them to get your puppy or kitten. They contact you when they pick up the puppy/kitten to let you know when and where to meet. Additional cost to ship with Lonewolf is currently $350.
Another option for ground shipping is The Puppy Wagon. They deliver to your door for all lower 48 states. Cost is currently $500.
If you prefer flying your puppy, additional cost to fly your puppy in cargo using Airbound Pets is currently $600 or less depending on the size of your puppy and includes a crate. Two puppies can be flown in the same crate.
There are no longer any airlines that allow flat-faced breeds (persian and exotic kittens) to fly as cargo. However, You can fly into the Springfield Missouri (SGF) Airport where I can meet you with your kitten or small breed puppy and they can accompany you home in the airplane cabin. There are also flight nanny services available such as Pet Jet Pals.
If the puppy or kitten is being shipped, we will be unable to guarantee their health as they will be exposed to several other puppies or small animals, humans, and environmental conditions outside of our control. We also recommend signing up for the 30 days of free pet insurance that is offered by Trupanion or AKC if that is an option that was made available to you.
Puppy Travelers is one of the companies we use for ground shipping. They specialize in delivering puppies and small animals to certain areas of the United States. They do not deliver to your house, but meet you somewhere close. The puppy usually leaves on a Sunday or Monday after they turn 8 weeks of age and arrive by the end of the week depending on the route. We use Airbound Pets to fly our puppies in cargo. This is not an option for kittens. Currently the only airlines taking pets as cargo are American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. During summer months certain airports are embargoed. Also, it cannot be less than 20 degrees or more than 85 degrees outside when the puppy takes off or lands. Current price to fly a puppy is $600 or less and includes a crate. Two puppies may be flown in the same crate (bigger size crate) for an additional amount.
