Exotic Shorthairs are known as the “lazy man’s Persian”. They have all of the wonderful qualities of a Persian but with shorter hair and less maintenance. Exotic Longhairs are almost the same as a Persian and is recognized as such for some registries (CFA registers them as Exotic Longhairs). However, they don’t have purebred Persian lineage. The Persian was crossed with the American Shorthair to create the Exotic Shorthair.
We only have 4-8 litters of kittens a year so if you don’t see what you are looking for or there are currently no available kittens, please feel free to contact me to have your name added to our wait list.
Price of a kitten is currently $1000 and can be registered with CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association) with limited registration.
Price of a kitten with full registration/breeding rights is $1500 and will need to be requested at time of reservation.
Kittens will be dewormed at 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age. They will receive the feline HCP vaccine at 4, 6 and 9 weeks of age. Kittens will receive a dose of Revolution for Kittens before leaving. Kittens are PKD/FELV/ FIV negative and free from ringworm and fleas.
Kittens will be ready to leave for their new home at 10 weeks of age.
We offer to microchip free of charge at new owner’s request.
All Kittens come with a health/vaccination record, health guarantee, CFA registration application, free 30 day Trupanion Pet Insurance, and a small bag of kitten food.
If being picked up from our home, will also come with blanket with mother’s and siblings’ scent and toy.
If being shipped, will include veterinarian health certificate.
If you are unable to pick your kitten up from our home personally, there are other options. Ground shipping is available to certain areas for an additional $350-$500. There are no longer any airlines that allow flat-faced breeds to fly as cargo. However, You can fly into the Springfield Missouri (SGF) Airport where I can meet you with your kitten and the kitten can accompany you home in the airplane cabin. There are also flight nanny services available such as Pet Jet Pals.
If you decide you would like to reserve a kitten, a $400 non-refundable deposit is required as well as a completed and signed purchase agreement. The deposit and purchase agreement must be received in order to reserve a kitten. The remaining balance will be due at pickup or before shipping.
Once a kitten has been reserved, we send weekly updates/pictures so you can watch your kitten grow.
